Meet Dr. Almaguer
Dr. Adam Almaguer is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in joint reconstruction and hip preservation. His expertise includes performing hip and knee replacements in the outpatient setting. He performs hip replacements through a variety of approaches, including the minimally invasive, muscle-sparing direct anterior approach and the cosmetic “bikini” incision. He is one of the few surgeons in the Triangle who performs partial and total knee replacements using kinematic alignment—an advanced technique that customizes implant positioning and alignment to each patient’s unique anatomy, helping restore a more natural and comfortable joint.
In addition to surgical care, Dr. Almaguer offers a range of nonsurgical treatment options, including regenerative medicine therapies such as platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and stem cell injections. These innovative treatments support the body’s natural healing processes and provide alternatives for patients seeking to delay or avoid surgery.
Over the years, medical care has become increasingly rushed and impersonal. Dr. Almaguer has built his practice around a different philosophy—one that prioritizes patient-centered care and fosters an environment where patients feel heard, comfortable, and genuinely cared for. This commitment begins with taking the time to listen to each patient’s story—to understand their concerns, goals, and how their condition affects their quality of life. From there, Dr. Almaguer develops a personalized treatment plan tailored to each patient’s unique needs, wishes, and expectations. Throughout both the pre- and post-surgical process, every office visit is scheduled directly with Dr. Almaguer—not with physician assistants or extenders—ensuring true continuity of care and a smooth path to a full recovery.
For patients seeking an even more personalized experience, Dr. Almaguer is proud to offer the Triangle area’s first and only orthopedic concierge program. To learn more about the 365 Surgical Concierge Program, click here.
